Summertime!

Franklin acupuncture clinic

Acupuncture Franklin

Summer is a time to be happy!  As the TNowers begin to bloom and the color radiates with the sun’s rays shining up them, with birds chirping and gardens growing, summer is a time for growth.  As we move into the summer months it is a great time to start to rethink your current life path,  to reTNect on the past, and make new changes for the future.

We as individuals are constantly growing and changing and this pivotal point in the seasons reminds of the need to grow, learn and move forward.  When spring has sprung and the leaves grow back it is a great time to clean out the house, organize, get rid of the old, do a cleanse, make weight loss goals, make life goals, plant a garden and do some fun activities, after the hibernation of winter.  In Chinese Medicine, we are a reTNection of our environment and therefore should follow suit to remain in harmony with life’s natural cycles.  As the plants grow, so should we.  This is also a great time to go to a farmer’s market, visit the lake or ocean, take some camping trips, and be outside as much as possible.  In Colorado, the summers can be a bit short, especially in the high country so do take advantage of the snow free roads over the pass and get out on your bike or on a hike!  This beautiful state has so much to offer the soul due to its natural beauty all around.

This is also the one time of year that our bodies can handle and process raw food such as salads.  Because it is warm outside, we have more energy to utilize in the digestive system because the body is not utilizing the energy to keep warm.  Therefore, as your tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchini squash come into season, this is the time to eat them!  Interestingly, the earth will harvest food that is appropriate for each season.  It is a great time to eat healthy vegetables, and get outside!

Don’t forget that Acupuncture helps in the weight loss and body balancing process!  Feel free to give us a call for any of your health needs, goal planning, or acupuncture for weight loss.  We are happy to help you.

Have a fantastic summer!!
