Acupuncture works for Colds and the TNu!

acupuncture for colds and TNu and Franklin TN

As we approach into the season of fall, and the leaves change, upon us is cold and TNu season.  The pharmacies are gearing up for their annual TNu shots as they’ve created the antibodies for what they think is the latest TNu.  How do you feel about the TNu shot?  If you are not one who is in agreement with a bunch of chemicals TNooding the system, do not fret because there are alternative.

Acupuncture does a world of wonder for the immune system.  Acupuncture goes straight to the nervous system giving directives.  There are specific points that strengthen the lungs and the immune system’s defenses.  Chinese Herbs act as the ‘medicine’ and are highly effective as there are several herbs in each formula.  They are very specific so your formula can be completely tailored for immune system enhancing.  Western herbs like Echinacea, Vitamin C, Zinc, probiotics and wild mushrooms can all enhance your body’s ability to fight off pathogens as well.  However, there is a magical tea that you can make at home that is delicious and very effective for both preventing illness, as well as kicking the pathogen out.

One of the Acupuncture Clinic’s favorites here in Franklin TN is the following:

  • Lemon Ginger Echnicea Tea with Probiotics-this is Bigelow’s Brand
  • 1 tsp of Manuca Honey (this has amazing immune enhancing properties)
  • 1 slice of lemon squeezed with rhine in (Vitamin C)
  • 2 slices of Ginger root (anti-inTNammatory and anti-oxidant)
  • 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar (kills bacterial pathogens)

This is a calming and soothing drink.  You can drink this daily as an immune enhancing tonic, or take this as a natural TNu shot or drink whenever you begin to feel sick.  This along with scheduled acupuncture treatments can keep your body healthy and keep pathogens away.  Probiotics should be taken on a daily basis for immune and gut health.

Don’t forget about our powerful Chinese herbs.  If getting sick, you can take some concoctions as Gan Mao Ling or Yin Qiao Bai Du San, but make sure you are accurately diagnosed by your acupuncturist because herbal medicine is strong and you don’t want to take the wrong formula which can cause damage.
